Body Mass Index Calculator

The body mass index (BMI) is a simple math calculation used to determine whether a person is over or under weight. Since only weight and height are taken into consideration, BMI should be used only as a guide as it relates to your overall wellness. As a rough guideline for adults, a BMI of less than 20 implies underweight, over 25 is overweight, and over 30 is obese. Since many diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure have been linked to being overweight, the higher your BMI, the greater risk you have of developing health problems. As always, talk with your doctor before making any big changes to your diet or exercise routine!
